It is becoming more widely agreed that the involvement of parents in their children’s education,
and consequently gaining more understanding of what is happening in the schools is of much
importance for their children’s learning process. These days, parents are getting more and more
convinced of the idea of playing an effective role in their children’s education, but some parents
are still not convinced or do not have the confidence to form such a relationship. On the other
hand, teachers are aware of what is called “partnership” with parents and its importance, but at
the same time some are afraid of the challenges they have to deal with while dealing with their
students’ parents. Standing in between are the policy makers, where they always try to support
both sides to cooperate effectively with each other.
