Responsibilities of Editors

Editorial Independence

Editors are responsible for making impartial editorial decisions based solely on the academic quality, originality, relevance, and significance of submitted manuscripts without discrimination.

Confidentiality

Editors must maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts, reviewer identities, and all communications associated with the editorial process. Information relating to submissions must not be disclosed to unauthorized individuals.

Fair Peer Review

Editors ensure that every manuscript undergoes a fair, objective, and confidential double-blind peer-review process conducted by qualified experts in the relevant field.

Selection of Reviewers

Editors are responsible for selecting reviewers with appropriate academic expertise who can provide unbiased, constructive, and timely evaluations.

Conflict of Interest

Editors must avoid situations involving personal, professional, or financial conflicts of interest. Any potential conflict should be disclosed, and appropriate measures should be taken to maintain editorial impartiality.

Ethical Oversight

Editors monitor compliance with publication ethics and take appropriate action when ethical concerns, plagiarism, duplicate publication, authorship disputes, or research misconduct are identified.

Communication

Editors maintain timely and professional communication with authors and reviewers regarding manuscript status, editorial decisions, and publication matters.

Maintaining the Scholarly Record

Editors are responsible for issuing corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions whenever necessary to preserve the integrity and reliability of the published literature.

Responsibilities of Reviewers

Objective Assessment

Reviewers should evaluate manuscripts objectively, fairly, and independently based on academic quality, originality, methodological soundness, clarity, and relevance to the journal's scope.

Confidentiality

All manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents. Reviewers must not disclose, discuss, or use unpublished material for personal or professional advantage.

Constructive Recommendations

Reviewers should provide clear, detailed, and constructive comments that assist authors in improving the quality, organization, and scholarly value of their manuscripts.

Timely Review

Reviewers are expected to complete their evaluations within the agreed review period. If they are unable to complete the review, they should notify the editorial office as soon as possible.

Conflict of Interest

Reviewers must disclose any conflicts of interest that could affect their impartial judgment and should decline the review if such conflicts exist.

Ethical Responsibility

Reviewers should inform the editor if they identify plagiarism, duplicate publication, citation manipulation, fabricated or falsified data, unethical research practices, or any other form of publication misconduct.

Respectful Communication

Reviewer comments should remain professional, respectful, and evidence-based, focusing on improving the scholarly quality of the manuscript.

Recommendation

Based on their evaluation, reviewers should recommend one of the following editorial decisions:

  • Accept
  • Minor Revision
  • Major Revision
  • Reject
