Since ancient times, the Bhagavad Gita has served as a profound source of inspiration for humanity, particularly for individuals committed to action and duty. Through the philosophical interpretation of Sri Aurobindo, the teachings of the Gita acquire renewed relevance in the modern age, especially for the younger generation. His interpretation of Karmayoga emphasizes selfless action, moral discipline, and spiritual growth, which contribute to strengthening individual character and promoting national unity. Sri Aurobindo viewed Vedanta as a universal philosophy that harmonizes and transcends all systems of morality and religion. According to his perspective, Vedic religion and ethics embody eternal and universal principles that guide human conduct. He argued that religion and ethics should enable individuals to realize their universal self and cultivate a higher moral consciousness. The ethically perfect individual, therefore, is one who consistently reflects this universal vision in thoughts and actions. This paper explores Sri Aurobindo’s interpretation of the Bhagavad Gita and examines its relevance in shaping ethical values, social harmony, and spiritual awareness among contemporary youth.
